New President, More Focus on Digital for Australia's CAB

In Australia, The Circulations Audit Board (CAB) has appointed Harley Slatter, of marcoms agency Slatter and Partners, as President, replacing Rob Yeomans who is leaving CAB after 20 years on the Board.

Paul DovasThe CAB is a not-for-profit industry organisation which provides advertisers, marketers and media buyers with verified distribution data across a range of media formats. This includes the Print Distribution Audit for publishers of business, professional and speciality publications and newspapers.

Slatter, who has served on the CAB Board since 2008, takes up the role with more than twelve years' marcoms industry experience, having previously served in account service, media and strategy planning roles.

Yeomans, of Creative Head Media (formerly Rank Publishing), has served as President for the past ten years. VP Adrian Farrow of Westwick-Farrow Media is also stepping down, as is CAB Treasurer and Director John Engisch, Group MD of Torch Publishing.

Four new members with digital backgrounds have joined to provide CAB with a digital focus: Davy Adams from IDG Communications, Jeremy Vaughan from Haymarket Media, Richard Lindley from Realview, and Shane Bill from APN News and Media.

The Board has also elected Leading Edge Telecoms's Michael Tate as VP, while Adams has taken on the role of Treasurer.

CAB CEO Paul Dovas (pictured) thanked the outgoing Board members and welcomed the new Board: 'The CAB's Board has always been active and engaged and we look forward to continuing to develop projects and services over the next 12 months,' he added.
