comScore adds Social Media Ad Measurement Module

Online audience measurement specialist comScore has enhanced its Ad Metrix ad intelligence product with measurement of ads appearing on social networking sites as well as 'socially-enabled' display ads appearing across the web.

Jeff HackettThe new 'Ad Metrix Social' tool provides analysis of ads which appear on social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkedIn. In addition, it can provide measurement of socially-enabled ads - standard display ads that click through to Facebook or other social networking sites and often include an icon containing words such as 'Like us on Facebook', or 'Follow us on Twitter'.

EVP Jeff Hackett comments: 'Social networking publishers not only account for one out of every three display ads appearing online today, but they are increasingly being woven into the fabric of existing display campaigns. comScore now offers advertisers and agencies a unique way to understand the intersection of social media and display advertising.'
