SRP and Firs Link for China Retail Shopper Research

Synovate Retail Performance (SRP) has partnered with face recognition specialist Firs Technology in Greater China, to provide retailers and brand owners in the region with access to technology and data reporting for stores.

Partners target Chinese shopper dataSRP (formerly SPSL) provides insight into shopper behaviours through footfall monitoring and behavioural analysis systems. The division monitors more than 1.1 billion visits to over 6,500 retail premises, and operates in more than 20 markets across Europe, the Americas and Asia Pacific.

Through its 'Shopper Count' solution, SRP provides technology to count shoppers entering shops, while the 'Shopper Interact' tool observes where consumers go once they're in a store, and 'Shopper Engage' uncovers their in-store behaviour and actions.

Shenzhen-based Firs Technologies focuses on image analysis, face recognition and intelligent video analysis. In addition, the company offers visitor flow statistics and fatigue detection software.
