US-based start-up newBrandAnalytics is set to hire up to 45 new employees in the next year, for offices in the States and Israel - more than doubling its headcount.
According to Dow Jones VentureWire, the Washington D.C.-based company recently raised $23.2m and says it will bring in data, financial and business analysts, product managers and developers, and sales and marketing professionals. In addition to the US and Israel offices, it also has product development teams in India
The firm specialises in social media analytics for companies in the hospitality sector, including restaurants and hotels, as well as retail and gaming companies; and also publishes market research papers for financial clients.
CTO Vivek Sagi, who joined the company full-time in June after a spell working for it as a consultant, says most of the new hires will be made locally, with re-location for outstanding product manager candidates. Sagi worked for Sears company ServiceLive after co-founding sales automation software company GlobalRoads and iPhone social networking platform Jamkai.
