GfK Names MD for Business and Technology

GfK Custom Research North America has appointed former GfK Brazil researcher Rogerio Monteiro as Managing Director of its Business & Technology division, based in New York.

Rogerio MonteiroMonteiro joined the firm in 2006, and in his previous role launched GfK Brazil's Automotive Business Unit, as well as managing a broad client portfolio focused on the chemical, consumer goods, finance and automotive industries.

Prior to this he was Commercial Business Director for market research supplier Expertise Pesquisas, and Head of Consumer Insights at Kraft Foods Brazil. Earlier, he held senior roles with General Motors and Young & Rubicam.

In his new position, Monteiro is tasked with leading research initiatives, while driving growth in the firm's technology client base.
