Keynote Passes $100m Revenue Milestone

US-based Internet and mobile monitoring specialist Keynote Systems has topped $100m in annual revenue, with a 19% rise to $103.0m in fiscal 2011. For fiscal Q4 2011, revenue rose to $27.5m from $20.5m in Q4 2010.

Umang GuptaFounded in 1995, San Mateo, California-based Keynote provides testing, monitoring and measurement products and services for clients including online portals, e-commerce and B2B sites, mobile operators and infrastructure providers.

In October, the firm bought DeviceAnywhere, which offers testing and monitoring of mobile web sites and apps via a cloud-based platform.

For the quarter ended 30 September, total operating expenses were $24.0m (Q4 2010: $19.4m); operating income was $3.5m (Q4 2010: $1.1m), and non-GAAP net income $4.9m (from $2.4m).

For the fiscal year 2011, total operating expenses increased to $88.0m from $77.6m, while operating income leapt from $2.2m to $15.0m, and non-GAAP net income from$7.6m to $20.6m.

Chairman and CEO Umang Gupta comments: 'For the first time in our company's history, fiscal year revenue broke the $100m milestone. Both our Internet and mobile businesses closed the fiscal year on a strong note and contributed to our annual revenue growth. Looking to fiscal 2012, we are excited about the potential for all of our markets, especially our enterprise mobile business.'

Keynote Systems anticipates total revenue of between $30.5m and $32.0m for the next quarter, including c$4.5m from DeviceAnywhere.
