Passenger Community Gets Mobile Options

December 2 2011

In the US, brand community technology firm Passenger has released an app for iOS mobiles, allowing members access to research communities from a mobile phone.

Passenger says the addition will increase member engagement and accelerate research response time. Its three key features are:

  • Ideas - allowing members to share ideas instantly, including photos and videos.
  • Polls - which sends invitations to participate in a variety of interactive poll formats, and
  • Discussions - allowing moderated real-time dialogue among members.
Data from the app and from the community's web-based polls is combined for analysis together or separately.

Chief Product Officer Jas Dhillon, says the app represents 'a huge move forward in delivering innovative solutions and tools' and says an Android version is coming soon.

Passenger has been strengthening its senior team of late with the appointments of former TNS exec Gaurav Bhalla as Chief Innovation Officer two weeks ago and two senior business developers, Jason Butka and Derek Sawchuk, in September.
