Grinbath Enhances EyeGuide with Remote Testing

December 8 2011

US usability and eyetracking technology specialist Grinbath has updated its EyeGuide software to enable researchers to stream live data and observe tests from remote locations.

What are you looking at? EyeGuide has the answerEyeGuide works on both Windows devices and Macs and includes an adjustable, wireless headset housing an infrared camera and LED light, which can be used inside or outside.

The tool now includes a real-time application programming interface (API) that enables clients to push live user data to a program of their choice for concurrent or future analysis. This includes a set of analysis tools for heat mapping dynamic areas of interest (or clusters), and gaze plotting. New software called Visualize is also included, enabling researchers to watch what users see in real-time, from any computer at any location.

Says CEO Dr Brian Still: 'Our users asked for a real time API, as well as the ability to monitor and control testing remotely, and we gave it to them, for free, with the release of EyeGuide 2.0.'
