Videology Launches Audience Targeting Tool

In the US, online video ad targeting specialist Videology has launched an ad selling platform which connects advertisers requirements with digital publishers' audience data.

Scott FerberBaltimore-based Videology (formerly TitalTV) develops video ad technology that helps clients target precise consumer segments by demographics, psychographics and behavioral habits.

The firm says its new audience-based targeting solution - the Videology Addressable Audience Platform - has been designed to provide publishers with insight into their total audience, as opposed to the small portion identifiable through panel-based sampling. Additionally, the tool offers insight into the consumer purchase cycle by linking ad exposure to online or off-line sales.

Videology Chairman and CEO Scott Ferber comments: 'There is currently a communications disconnect between digital video buyers and sellers. Publishers have the audience and advertisers want it, yet, when they talk to each other, they're not speaking the same language. By providing a common platform solution, agencies and publishers can focus their attention on the bigger picture -providing the best audience-based solutions for advertisers.'

Last year, Ferber's firm raised $30m from investors, which it has since been using to support its plans to deploy its ad 'decisioning' solutions in new multi-screen apps for advertisers, media agencies and publishers.
