OwnerIQ Buys Shopper Marketing Platform DiJiPOP

January 27 2012

In the US, online behavioral targeting firm OwnerIQ has acquired shopper marketing technology platform DiJiPOP in an all-stock deal. Terms were not disclosed.

Ji KimOwnerIQ's solutions enable advertisers and agencies to target an online display ad message to consumers based on the products and brands they already own and/or intend to buy. Last summer, the firm raised $7m, which it is using to expand its proprietary data solutions and enhance its media-buying platform.

DiJiPOP's platform matches retailers' digital shelf space with manufacturers and advertisers, to help monetize traffic, and the technology will be used by OwnerIQ to dynamically serve product placements and banner ads in real-time.

OwnerIQ CEO Jay Habegger comments: 'The acquisition of DiJiPOP will not only add value to our relationships with top-tier online retailers and manufacturers, but will also add a whole new dimension to our ad solution for the agencies and advertisers that seek to target consumers along the path to purchase.'

As part of the acquisition, DiJiPOP founder and former CEO Ji Kim (pictured) has joined the OwnerIQ team as VP of Business Development, Media Solutions.
