Extole Closes $22m Funding for Brand Advocate Solution

In the US, social marketing platform Extole - which promises to help clients convert their customers into brand advocates - has secured $10m in Series C funding, which it will use to fuel growth, scale operations, and accelerate product and platform investments.

Brad KlausSan Francisco-based Extole's C2C Social Marketing Platform enables clients to identify social media advocates, and then offers analytics to gain insight into customer behaviors and determine the types of messages customers will respond to.

The latest funding - which brings its total financing to $22m - was led by Shasta Ventures, with participation from existing investors Norwest Venture Partners, Redpoint Ventures, and Trident Capital.

Extole founder and CEO Brad Klaus comments: 'Brands have a massive opportunity to tap into an entirely new, high-value marketing channel by harnessing the power and reach of their social advocates with C2C Social Marketing.
