Cision Launches Digital Influencer Tool

March 15 2012

In Canada, comms monitoring firm Cision has launched the 'Social Influencer Search' platform, to enable users to find digital influencers who publish content on specific topics.

Peter GranatCision (formerly Romeike), offers marketing and PR professionals a range of tools to manage all aspects of their communications - from identifying key media and influencers, to connecting with audiences, monitoring traditional and social media, and analyzing outcomes.

Its new solution has been developed to help find influencers who are tweeting, sharing or blogging about a specific keyword. Results can then be filtered by location, country, market and more, to provide detailed contact information about the influencer, such as social media counts, what outlets they write for, and what topics they cover.

In addition to offering keyword search results pulled from Cision's Influencer Database, users can tap into the firm's Influencer Rating to help gauge the influence of a contact, and to focus on those who are most prominent. This ratings tool measures 40 points of influence, such as Facebook likes and retweets, to help analyze the significance of each influencer.

Peter Granat, CEO of Cision North America, comments: 'Because of the vastness and the reach of social media, uncovering the most qualified and prominent people who are influencing conversations online can be a challenging task. Now our users can find influencers by their most recent blog posts and tweets, determine which ones are the most prominent, and research the best way to get in touch with them, all with the click of a button.'
