MVL Group Sets Up Focalytic for Conversation Analysis

In the US, MR holding firm MVL Group has set up a new business insight agency called Focalytic, which offers text analysis and data visualization techniques to analyse conversations about products, customer and political and business environments.

Vaughn Mordecai and Bob HigginsonFocalytic gathers, sifts and evaluates the conversations consumers or constituents are having about a company, a message, or an industry, to enable clients to make decisions about branding, product launches, marketing content, and business direction. This intelligence also focuses on analysis of competitor's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, or threats.

Vaughn Mordecai, who is President of MVL Group agency Discovery Research Group, heads the new firm, having joined the group in 2006 to oversee its data collection arm.

Commenting on the launch, Discovery Research Group VP Bob Higginson said: 'Focalytic capitalizes on the abundance of available unstructured text where people are sharing candid conversations that can be harvested or collected. This is followed by analytic and visualization strategies, that give decision makers the insights to use this information in understandable ways that drive their business decisions.'
