Business networking site LinkedIn has launched two tools to enable the more than two million firms with LinkedIn Company Pages to target specific individuals and groups.
Launched in 2003, LinkedIn now operates a professional network with more than 150 million members in over 200 countries. Its new ‘Targeted Updates’ tool enables firms with Company Pages to send messages to their follower lists, targeted by job function, geography and employee seniority.
The second tool, ‘Follower Statistics’, provides a dashboard containing metrics enabling marketers to track immediate follower engagement, engagement over time, and demographic information.
Global Marketing Director Alison Engel says the two new products are ‘the latest examples of how we are helping marketers utilize LinkedIn's follower ecosystem to establish direct, lasting relationships with high value audiences while driving brand metrics and media efficiencies.’
