Following the acquisition of Synovate, Frank Guo has been promoted to the position of Director, Healthcare China for Ipsos Healthcare, in charge of the division’s business across the country.

The £528.8m acquisition took place in October, and formed the third largest market research company in the world. Prior to his promotion, Guo had worked for Synovate Healthcare since 2009 as Research Director in Beijing before which, he was Director of International Business Development for medical device manufacturer China Medical Technologies.

In his new role, he is supported by Research Directors Karen Lei and Jane Zhou, who together lead a team of 50 healthcare research specialists across China.

Lei was previously a Research Director at Synovate Healthcare, prior to which she served as General Manager of KantarHealth, Associate Director of TNS Healthcare, and Account Manager at IMS Health. Zhou worked previously at KantarHealth for nearly eight years.

Guo now reports to Gareth Phillips, who has been confirmed in post as Managing Director for Ipsos Healthcare in Asia Pacific, and Alick Zhou who is the group’s CEO in Greater China.
