Apperian Adds Crowdsourcing to Mobile App Platform

April 23 2012

In the US, mobile app management firm Apperian has added crowdsourcing and gamification features to its EASE app development platform, to help developers gather user feedback and ideas.

Allan MurrayThe new Apperian Crowdsourcing tool provides a platform through which app developers and users can propose and discuss improvements to existing apps, or ideas for new ones. Users are encouraged to provide their feedback through gamification techniques, such as leader boards, ratings systems and badges for the best ideas.

A new AppRatings system enables users to provide feedback on the apps they use, in the form of ratings from one to five stars, plus comments.

According to Allan Murray (pictured), Apperian SVP of Products, 'There are many great ideas for mobile business apps that never see the light of day because there is no easy way for employees to get involved. Crowdsourcing enables IT to engage with users and developers in a way that results in better applications and adoption.'
