Neodata Buy Combines Content Specialists

May 15 2012
Italy-based audience analysis specialist Neodata Group has acquired Newscurve, a Serbian firm which provides web analytics to bloggers, editors and publishers to enable them to measure the effectiveness of their content. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Giovanni Giuffrida and Boris KrstovicNeodata uses text mining, semantic analysis and real-time web metrics to help editors match their readers with the most relevant and appropriate editorial or advertising content. Newscurve’s platform is used by publishers and online media companies to determine how to position and promote editorial content based on real-time effectiveness and user engagement, highlighting the content, topics and authors that generate interest.

Neodata founder and CEO Giovanni Giuffrida says Newscurve’s technology adds a ‘vital piece’ to his firm’s editorial suite, while its team will bring ‘deep expertise’ in both technology and market knowledge.

As part of the deal, Neodata has opened an Eastern Europe subsidiary at Newscurve’s headquarters in Belgrade.

Newscurve founder Boris Krstovic says the firms’ complementary strengths and Neodata's global capabilities will give clients ‘the broadest range of technology-integrated solutions for the newsroom and the online publishing industry.’
