Komli Promotes Reid to Australian MD

India-based digital advertising and technology firm Komli Media is promoting former ViziSense boss Andrew Reid to Managing Director of its Australian business, replacing ad man Andrew Lockwood who is taking 'an extended break' but may return later in an advisory capacity.

Andrew ReidLockwood, who will leave in June, was co-founder in 2001 of advertising network PostClick, which was acquired by Komli two years ago. Reid joined the group at about the same time, leaving a job as MD of Australian music and events firm Peer Group Media to head up Komli's ViziSense web site metrics platform, which was at the time bidding for the IAB's Australian online measurement contract. Since last year, Reid has been Komli's VP of Data Solutions. Earlier in his career he held senior roles at Blue Freeway and Nielsen NetRatings.

Reid said Lockwood had made 'an enormous contribution to the online advertising industry in Australia' and created 'an innovative, agile and very successful ad network'. He added: 'we look forward to seeing the next chapter in his career.'

Komli's ViziSense tool was launched in 2008 to enable users to look up audience and traffic statistics for any Internet site accessed from India, while its AdView service is described as India's first online ad monitoring and analysis tool.
