Nielsen Promotes Bernhardt to German MD Role

Nielsen has promoted Mathias Bernhardt to Managing Director in Germany, responsible for developing the firm's Buy consumer purchase behavior segment.

Mathias BernhardtBernhardt (pictured) joined Nielsen in 1998 as Corporate Account Manager in the Client Service division. Four years later he was promoted to International Client Director, responsible for several major international clients. Since 2008, he has been a member of the management team in Germany, and in 2009 he became Client Service Director. Earlier this year, he joined Nielsen Germany'/s management team.

In his new role, he replaces Ivar Michaelsen, who is taking up a new position in the Northern Europe region. Ludger Wibbelt retains responsibility for the firm's Watch media research division in Germany.
