NM Incite Names Somosi as CEO

July 30 2012

In New York, Nielsen/McKinsey joint venture NM Incite has appointed former McKinsey Principal Andrew Somosi as Chief Executive Officer.

Andrew SomosiSomosi replaces Dave Hudson, who prior to launching NM Incite, spent seven years at Nielsen. Hudson is currently serving as an Advisor at social web consultancy SocialIQ Networks.

NM Incite was founded in 2010 to help companies use social media intelligence to drive business performance. The firm builds on the social media and online brand metrics, consumer insights and real-time market intelligence provided by Nielsen BuzzMetrics, while management consultancy McKinsey & Company provides expertise in marketing and sales, organization and service operations, as well as areas such as digital marketing, word-of-mouth marketing and consumer purchase behavior.

Somosi (pictured) joins from B2B sales intelligence software provider Lattice Engines, where for the past five years, he served as SVP Marketing & Business Development responsible for branding strategy, demand generation and communications. Prior to this, he was VP New Channels at LexisNexis, and he served as an Associate Principal at McKinsey, advising media, financial services and private equity clients and working at the company's New York, Paris and Prague offices.

Steve Hasker, Nielsen's President, Global Media Products and Advertiser Solutions and member of the NM Incite Board of Directors, comments: 'We think Andrew's experience as a successful entrepreneur building companies that leverage big data to solve specific marketing and sales problems will accelerate NM Incite's global growth for Fortune 1000 clients.'
