MusicHype Launches 'Appreciation Engine'

August 21 2012

Online service MusicHype.com, which helps bands, management companies and labels develop relationships with their fans, has launched the 'Appreciation Engine' through which clients can aggregate customer profile data, analyze fan activity and identify 'VIP' customers in real-time.

Real-time data from MusicHypeLaunched last year, the LA-based firm promises to help clients pinpoint and engage with their most relevant fans. By signing up to join its platform, fans agree to allow brands to track their social media networking activities and analyze their personal data.

The new Appreciation Engine has been developed as a spin-off of the firm's core technology, and zeroes in on clients' biggest brand ambassadors, tracking demographics like age range, gender, location and type of device.

Fans can be tracked across general consumer services such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, as well as music-specific services including Spotify, Lastfm and Deezer, delivering an automatic real-time feed of personal fan activity to a central hub.
