Firebrand Insight Opens with ICG Member Support

In the UK, research industry veterans Andrew Smith and Andy Booth have set up a full service agency called Firebrand Insight, which will tap into the sector and technique specialisms of a core team drawn from membership of the Independent Consultants Group (ICG) network.

Andrew Smith and Andy BoothSmith, who has chaired the ICG since 2007, previously held director-level roles at agencies TNS, NOP, ORC International and GfK, and now manages his own company Andrew Smith Research (ASR). During his career, Booth served in senior positions at Circle Research, MSB, UPS, DHL, and British Airways, while more recently running travel, transportation and logistics-focused agency Alpha Bravo Marketing Insight.

The pair say their new Surrey-based business intelligence consultancy 'challenges' the conventional research agency model by tapping into the expertise offered by ICG's membership of more than 400 market research consultants.

Firebrand operates globally in both the B2B and B2C markets, and in change-management consulting. In particular, the consultancy specialises in the leisure, transportation/logistics, financial and professional services, and the public sector sectors.
