AIP Opens Support Office in India

September 7 2012

Tokyo-based online sampling and data collection firm AIP Corporation has opened an office in India, which is led by Roy Kimura who is based at the firm's office in New York.

Roy KimuraAIP, which also has offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul, New York, London, and Singapore, offers proprietary panels across 15 markets, plus a range of services such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, telephone interviewing, DP and translation.

During the last three years, the group has been developing internal resources in India to provide additional in-house scripting capabilities and back-office support. The New Delhi office currently employs six members of staff, and AIP says it is planning to expand the office gradually, so that it can extend its ability to offer data collection services.

Commenting on the launch, AIP CEO Hidefumi Watanabe explained: 'After investigating many outsourcing options in India, and around the world, we eventually came to the decision that the best way to ensure the level of quality that our clients have come to expect was to build our team from scratch.'

Kimura (pictured) has worked at AIP since 2006, and currently serves as President of the firm's operations in New York. Prior to joining the company, he was Head of Corporate Strategy and Planning at trading giant Sumitomo Corporation, where he worked for nearly nine years.
