McKinsey Shopper Insight Expert Joins Rosetta

In Chicago, Publicis-owned interactive agency Rosetta has hired former McKinsey shopper insight leader John Copeland as Managing Partner and Co-Leader of its Marketing Strategy & Insights Practice.

John CopelandRosetta uses patented research processes to reveal the needs and attitudes that drive customer engagement and decision-making behavior. Copeland (pictured) joins with a background of working with clients to develop and use insights in the packaged goods, retail, high-tech, pharma, media and financial services sectors. Most recently, he worked at McKinsey & Company as Co-Leader of the North America Consumer and Shopper Insight practice; and prior to this he held senior insights and analytics roles at brand consulting firm Zyman Group and at Accenture, Prophet and Envision.

In his new role, he partners with recently promoted Jay Lichtenstein, who has been with the firm since 2007. Both report to COO Mark Taylor, who comments: 'John's impressive background of global and industry-specific vertical experience makes him an ideal partner to co-lead our Marketing Strategy & Insights group with Jay. Together they will continue to develop Rosetta's intellectual property in the space, and drive further penetration of our consulting services into our broader client base generating increasingly relevant programs and additional client business impact.'
