MRG Adds US Hospital Purchasing Data

October 26 2012

Medical tech intelligence specialist Millennium Research Group (MRG) has extended its Marketrack product to track the performance of brands by stock keeping unit (SKU) in US hospitals.

Now Wash Your Hands? MRG says its data is seriously cleanToronto-based MRG, which is owned by Canadian healthcare research firm Decision Resources, offers medical technology information services including ongoing Marketrack projects, customer loyalty tracking and forecasting services.

Marketrack now includes detailed purchasing data from hundreds of US hospitals, covering every product implanted or consumed across each facility, each month, and uses the price actually paid by the facility for each product, instead of an estimated or contract price.

Marketrack Product Manager Jennifer Thomas comments: 'The data our clients receive has been cleaned, normalized and extrapolated to a national total by our team of market experts. The resulting deliverable is intuitive, easy to manipulate and analyze, allowing for comparisons across facilities, over time and against competing products, without additional analysis. No one else offers hospital purchasing data that is simultaneously this extensive and this clean.'
