Rentrak Debuts Box Office Measure in Malaysia and Singapore

Multi-screen media measurement specialist Rentrak has extended its International Box Office Essentials service to Malaysia and Singapore, collecting daily theater level attendance and ticket sales information.

Rentrak says the service now covers 35 countries including all of North America and the largest markets throughout Asia, Europe and South America. The two new markets will initially be managed from Rentrak's Asia Pacific hub located in Sydney, which also oversees Australia, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and Taiwan.

The company says its Box Office Essentials and International Box Office Essentials are used by every studio in the United States as well as many distribution entities around the world, providing real-time box office intelligence streamlined through one unique system.
