RootMetrics Expands Mobile UX Testing Tool

Mobile user experience analyst RootMetrics has released a new version of its crowdsourcing app 'Cell Phone CoverageMap', enabling customers of AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon to test the performance of their smartphones.

Bill MooreBased in Bellevue, WA, USA RootMetrics provides mobile performance data to consumers via coverage maps, market-specific reports, and offers a free downloadable app for use on either Android or iOS devices.

The new version of its app for Android provides users with a background testing functionality to enable them to test signal strength and availability for data, text and voice while performing other functions on their phone, or with the phone's display turned off.

With this latest update, we've integrated suggestions from the user community and offered them an extension of our current suite of testing tools, allowing them an additional way to test their carrier.'
