The Modellers Opens Strategic Analytics Division

Omnicom subsidiary The Modellers has opened a new Strategic Analytics business unit, which it says will help companies tap into their existing data before embarking on additional data collection. Marco Vriens will head up the unit.

Marco VriensThe division will provide solutions such as trend spotting, market forecasting, marketing mix modelling, marketing ROI analysis and customer churn evaluation.

CEO Jeff Brazell explains that Strategic Analytics had become a larger part of the company's business, and now warrants its own unit. He comments: 'There is a substantial need for true expertise in the areas of big data and predictive analytics. Most companies can do much more than they currently do to get added value out of their existing data. But they need the right partner to help do that'.

Vriens (pictured), The Modellers' MD of Strategic Analytics and SVO of Methodology, led analytics and research teams at GE Healthcare, Microsoft, Millward Brown IntelliQuest, Knowledge Networks and Research International, before joining the company in 2010.
