January 25 2013

US-based big data specialist Guavus has acquired mobile data solutions provider Neuralitic Systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Louis BrunEarlier this month, Guavus raised $30m for the expansion of its core products, which are designed to help telecoms companies make more sense of their streams of network data.

Montreal-based Neuralitic conducts analysis of mobile data consumption, to enable comms companies to generate new revenue streams. The firm's applications for mobile marketing will be combined with Guavus' own solutions which provide insights across network, device, content and subscriber analytics.

Guavus' global headquarters will remain in San Mateo, California and the company will now have international offices in Montreal, Singapore and London, with research and development offices in Gurgaon and Ahmedabad, India.

Louis Brun (pictured), founder of Neuralitic Systems and now serving as SVP at Guavus, comments: 'By joining forces, we provide communication service providers with a single, integrated solution that is scalable to carrier-class environments, offers an immediate return on investment, and makes timely decision-making a reality. Carriers no longer need to invest in large systems integration projects, cross their fingers and wait twelve months to see if their investment pays off.'
