Grupthink Buy Boosts KL Co-creation Offer

In the US, co-creation agency KL Communications has acquired communities specialist Grupthink, in a move to extend the abilities of its own CrowdWeaving collaborative platform. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Kevin Lonnie and Steven SundheimGrupthink has developed its own platform for collaborative, moderated online discussions. This platform will now be integrated into CrowdWeaving, which enables participants to collaborate with companies to generate new ideas and create new products, designs and services.

Kevin Lonnie, KL's President and CEO, explains: 'We found that other modules were limiting us in numerous ways. We knew we could do more. So we decided to work with Grupthink to build the exact tool that we needed.'

Following the acquisition, Grupthink and KL Communications will work together to create an expanded version of the CrowdWeaving module.

Grupthink founder Steven Sundheim says his platform will serve as the 'perfect foundation' for KL Communications' co-creation solution.
