Strategy Analytics Opens Consumer Insights Wing

February 22 2013

US provider Strategy Analytics, which focuses on clients in the technology sector, has opened a new Consumer Insights Practice (CIP) led by Motorola Mobility's former Head of Consumer Insights Joy Ganvik.

Joy GanvikFounded as long ago as 1968, Strategy Analytics combines business planning experience, advanced analytics tools and end-user research to help its clients evaluate markets, companies and technologies. The new division will deliver custom research solutions for market opportunity assessments, plus brand measurement and monitoring - and will help the parent company to expand its existing knowledge of consumer behavior beyond technology products and services to other industries including retail, pharmaceuticals and financial services.

Ganvik (pictured) takes up the position of VP of Consumer Insights for Strategy and Analytics. She worked previously at Motorola Mobility, where she directed the global market research function and led the team of research managers, directors and support staff. Prior to this, she served as VP and Director of Market Research at Chase, and Senior Staff Analyst, Marketing at United Airlines.

She is supported in her new role by Arleen Macaraeg-Denque, who previously served as CMGR Product Research Lead for Microsoft Windows, and Carlos Salazar-Velasquez, who is the former head of Marketing Sciences for Motorola Mobility.

Harvey Cohen, Chairman and President of Strategy Analytics, comments: 'Clients have been asking for the ability to provide deeper insights on the factors driving consumer needs and choice as they relate to market share, product development and brands. We've taken this request seriously and have built a premier team of consumer research leaders, from some of the top global technology businesses in the world.'
