Clear Hires Baxter as Marketing Sciences Head

In the UK, M&C Saatchi-owned brand research specialist Clear has appointed former Ipsos MORI exec David Baxter as Head of Marketing Sciences.

David BaxterClear, which was founded in 2002 and acquired by M&C Saatchi in 2007, offers market research and consultancy services to help clients with brand strategy, positioning and innovation, through its network of offices in London, New York, Sydney and Singapore.

Last week, M&C Saatchi reported that Clear's headline operating profit had dropped from £2m to £0.3m last year, but said that following several large corporate client wins it expects the firm's 2013 first quarter profitability to be 'much improved'.

In the UK, the company has a team of 60 who focus on strategy, innovation, quant and qual research, marketing capability and design. Baxter (pictured) joins after thirteen years at Ipsos MORI, where he latterly served as Head of the firm's Global Modelling Unit in the UK for Market Understanding and Measurement.
