Current Analysis Hires IDC's Amit Gupta

In Singapore, competitive intelligence specialist Current Analysis has appointed former IDC leader Amit Gupta as Managing Director, APAC, to further expand its operations across the region.

The Washington DC-based company provides real-time intelligence, analysis and advice for the telecoms and technology markets.

Most recently, Gupta (pictured) was Regional VP and Head of Sales - Asia Pacific at tech specialist IDC. Prior to this he worked IDC New Zealand, first as a Consulting Manager and later as MD. In 2011, Gupta led the establishment of IDC's wholly-owned subsidiary in the Indian market.

In his new role, he joins Australia-based Tim Dillon, who is responsible for leading and developing the firm's analyst and research operations in Asia Pacific.

Commenting on Gupta's appointment, Jerry Caron, SVP, Analysis says: 'The combination of Tim Dillon's analytical expertise and Amit's extensive experience leading ICT market analysis and consulting efforts in the region will bring fresh insights and capabilities to our Asia Pacific clients.'
