eBay has hired Zoher Karu, formerly VP of Marketing Analytics at Sears, for the new position of Vice President, Customer Optimization & Data, tasked with using analytics to target customers.
At Sears, Karu (pictured) was responsible for analytically driven customer and market-level targeting offers and content. Earlier, he served as VP, Behavioral Analytics at eLoyalty (now Mattersight), Director of Business Strategy at Zyman Group, and Director of Product Management at Brickstream Corporation. He began his career at McKinsey & Company.
In his new role, Karu is tasked with finding ways to add personalization to eBay's Marketplaces, products and properties.
