IMS and Remedy Link for Total Patient View

May 17 2013

In the US, IMS Health and Remedy Informatics have partnered to deliver technology-based 'real-world-evidence' (RWE) solutions, promising life science sector clients a complete picture of the patient experience.

IMS and Remedy Link for Total Patient ViewRemedy offers patient registries, medical research software and research informatics products to measure and improve the effectiveness of life sciences research and healthcare delivery in the US and around the world.

IMS's own RWE platform uses proprietary technology to connect and analyze de-identified patient information from a variety of sources. Through the partnership, these RWE capabilities and IMS's anonymous patient-level information will be merged with Remedy Informatics' Mosaic technology, to provide the industry with further understanding of healthcare effectiveness, safety and value.

The resulting new suite, called 'IMS Evidence 360', will enable pharma and medical device manufacturers, payers and providers to link and analyze complex healthcare data sets. IMS says it will form a main component of an expanded platform supporting a broad range of applications, including commercial analytics, epidemiological studies, and comparative effectiveness and safety research.

Gary Kennedy, Remedy Informatics founder and CEO, comments: 'A key challenge for life sciences clients is how to best connect and integrate data for a complete picture of the patient experience. Only IMS Health has the breadth of anonymous patient-level data assets. Remedy Informatics' technology can combine that kind of insight with the rigor of our Mosaic Platform and together, we will deliver solutions that support healthcare stakeholders in examining the real-world costs, risks and benefits of specific treatments.'
