Ogilvy Australia Opens Data and Analytics Practice

Ad giant Ogilvy has launched a data and analytics practice called data[at]Ogilvy in Australia, which will focus on areas including digital analytics, customer engagement and data planning.

Leon BombotasThe new division will be led by Leon Bombotas (pictured), who recently joined after serving as Director of Analytics & Insights Asia-Pac for CBS Interactive. He worked earlier for Telstra as Head of Online Analytics & Conversion, and at eBay as Senior Manager of Online Marketing.

The new division has launched with a staff of more than twenty data specialists, who have been redeployed from various areas across the company.

Andrew Baxter, CEO of Ogilvy Australia, said the new division will build on existing analytics credentials within the Ogilvy network both in Australia and across the globe. 'With specialist data skills across digital, media, CRM and social, we're excited about data[at]ogilvy's ability to help today's marketers achieve this growth, particularly with such an experienced operator at the helm,' he added.
