Digital Strategist Marobella Gets Larger Havas Role

June 17 2013

Havas Worldwide has expanded the role of digital and data-driven strategist Paul Marobella, already President of Havas Discovery, naming him Group President of two more of its subsidiaries, experiential agency Havas Impact and brand agency Palm + Havas. Both are based in Chicago.

Paul MarobellaMarobella joined Havas in the Discovery role in August, from independent digital agency [wire] stone, where he led the Chicago office and was national Chief Marketing and Growth Officer. Prior to that he worked as EVP of Strategic Planning and Chief Growth Officer at retail ad agency Ambrosi; and earlier at Greco Ethridge Group. His experience covers almost every major vertical category.

In the newly expanded role, Marobella will focus on sharpening the individual agencies' integrated approaches. Ron Bess, President of Havas Worldwide North America and CEO of Havas Worldwide Chicago, says the appointment will help realise the natural synergies from aligning the skills of the three companies: 'The vision for Havas Worldwide Chicago has always been to bring a more unified communications approach to our clients. Paul understands how to do this by integrating our data, digital, CRM and brand experience capabilities.'

Discovery's own leadership team was boosted in January with the hiring of Eamon Boyle as Managing Director, Data Intelligence at its Richmond, VA office - his remit includes making data 'fun, interesting and insightful' for clients. Web site: www.havasdiscovery.com .

Havas Worldwide, formerly known as Euro RSCG Worldwide, is an integrated marketing communications agency headquartered in New York, and the largest unit of the Havas group.
