Education Specialists Merge

Media and publishing industry analyst Simba Information has merged its Education Group with US school market intelligence firm Education Market Research (EMR). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bob ResnickFounded by Bob Resnick (pictured) in 1995, EMR analyzes the US K-12 school market, and provides clients with data from original studies gathered from a network comprised of tens of thousands of educators. As part of the deal, Resnick will continue to design and conduct the EMR surveys and compile the related reports.

Earlier this year, the two companies renewed their co-branding and distribution agreement, allowing Simba to sell five EMR titles, which were co-branded as EMR/Simba reports. The merger further expands the relationship between the two companies and will lead to the addition of all EMR products to the Simba Information Knowledge Center, an annual subscription service that makes available the entire collection of Simba reports and newsletters.
