Piqora Adds Instagram and Tumblr Analytics

Pinterest analytics firm Piqora, which was previously known as Pinfluencer, has expanded its portfolio with the addition of trending image, hashtag, follower and influencer analysis for Instagram and Tumblr.

Sharad VermaSilicon Valley-based Piqora emerged from private beta last August, with the backing of $1.4m of seed funding. The firm aims to connect businesses with their most influential brand advocates, using a cloud-based data engine to capture data and insight generated by 'pins' and 'repins' posted on social media site Pinterest.

The firm's software, which is based on image recognition, now enables marketers to identify consumers across all three visual networks who have explicitly mentioned a brand or related themes. Piqora says that this enables brand marketers to monitor one or many hashtags and discover relevant brand images and links posted by users around the globe.

CEO Sharad Verma (pictured) comments: 'Brands are being talked about whether or not they have already joined these visual networks officially. This constitutes a vast opportunity for brand managers to get deep insights about their audience and content and promote hashtags and content to acquire audience and turn them into customers.'
