EMA Hires Insight Leader

US marcoms agency Eric Mower + Associates (EMA) has appointed shopper marketing specialist Katie Butler as Director of EMA Insight, the agency's search, strategy planning and analytics division.

Katie ButlerEMA offers a range of services for B2B marketing, PR and public affairs, consumer advertising, shopper marketing, and digital/direct/relationship marketing from offices in seven US cities.

Butler (pictured) joins from JWT/Ogilvy Action, where she served as EVP of Creative Strategy and Planning, and led those teams in New York, Akron and Bentonville. Prior to this, she worked for retail agency Malone as Concept Director, and for shopper retail agency Ryan Partnership as Manager of Concept Development. She began her career at NW Ayer & Son and left to work as a freelance writer and commercial and TV producer.

In her new role, Butler is responsible for overall leadership of the EMA Insight department and will manage insights, research and planning for clients across the agency's seven offices.
