Tpoll Launches Council Survey Tool

July 30 2013

In the UK, full service agency Tpoll has launched a tool to help councils produce resident engagement surveys.

Tpoll talked to more than 70 councils to develop its new toolFollowing discussions with more than 70 councils, Tpoll developed its new online satisfaction survey module to provide a standard set of questions, plus additional bespoke options.

Because the tool can be used to conduct surveys on mobile devices, Tpoll says busy residents and/or less-able bodied residents can now participate where and when it suits them. In addition, once the first study has been completed, trend data can be extracted at the click of a button.

Commercial Director Richard Staunton comments: 'The annual satisfaction surveys are arduous tasks, with many involving several departments and numerous staff; they are costly and require someone to input all the data manually. With councils enduring cuts in their budgets, it is admirable to see how many still feel that conducting these surveys is a core requisite and is something they will continue to do as best they can.'

Tpoll also offers access to an online community known as The Citizen Panel, which combines both qualitative chat forum functionality and quantitative panel survey in one portal, and through which residents and councils can engage with each other on specific projects.
