Market Track Buys eCommerce Insight Firm Dynamite Data

In the US, retail promotion and pricing intelligence specialist Market Track has acquired eCommerce insight specialist Dynamite Data for an undisclosed amount.

Diana Schulz and Kristopher KubickiUsing its 'Channel Monitor' solution, Chicago-based Dynamite gathers, analyzes and distributes online pricing, inventory, and rating and review information from 'more than a billion' eCommerce web pages, in order to provide retailers and manufacturers with information about their markets and competitors.

Market Track says it plans to make 'significant investments' in Dynamite's product portfolio, while adding to its engineering and sales teams. In addition, several of its capabilities will be added to Market Track's existing digital monitoring and analytics solutions, including the PriceVision offering, which integrates eCommerce and in-store pricing and promotional data.

Dynamite's leadership team will also be retained, including CEO Diana Schulz who will become President of Market Track's new eCommerce Division, and co-founder, Chief Architect, and CTO Kristopher Kubicki who will serve as the division's CTO.

Market Track CEO Wayne Mincey says the merger us 'a natural strategic fit' and adds: 'Dynamite Data has transformed how both eRetailers and Click-and-Mortar participants monitor, analyze and respond to their marketplace.'
