comScore Australia/New Zealand Head to Depart

Amy Weinberger, the head of online measurement specialist comScore in Australia and New Zealand, is stepping down from her role, and will be replaced by a 'local hire'.

Weinberger (pictured) was transferred to the firm's Sydney operation in 2010, after working for comScore in San Francisco for eight years, latterly as VP of West Coast Sales. Earlier in her career, she was Sales Director for Jupiter Media Metrix, before its 2002 acquisition by comScore.

Joe Nguyen, SVP for APAC, told Australian media magazine Encore that Weinberger had originally transferred to Sydney on secondment, and the company had always planned to ultimately find a local senior exec to head the market.

Weinberger confirmed that she has yet to decide her next career move, but did not rule out the possibility of remaining in Australia.
