XL Marketing Buys Adchemy Analytics Unit

In the US, big data-driven marketing firm XL Marketing Corp. has acquired the Adchemy Actions real-time analytics division of consumer intent specialist Adchemy. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

David SteinbergAdchemy Actions helps clients identify their most value customers in order to send them personalized marketing messages. Adchemy said it will re-invest all proceeds from the sale into its SaaS search platform.

New York City-based XL says it will use Adchemy Actions' patented marketing platform to power its own web marketing efforts, both desktop and mobile. The entire Adchemy Actions division will join XL Marketing's team of more than 500 professionals. Cullen Jowitt, VP and General Manager of the Actions division, becomes an SVP for XL Marketing, while Eddie Rau, one of the architects of the Adchemy Actions platform, becomes VP of Engineering, and former Adchemy Sales Director Matt Tillman becomes VP and General Manager of XL Marketing's Financial Services division.
