Senior Promotion for Abt SRBI

Abt SRBI, the survey and data collection arm of US-based healthcare and government researcher Abt Associates, has promoted Andy Weiss to the new role of Chief Business Officer, overseeing all business groups and practices.

Weiss has worked at the firm for seventeen years, most recently as SVP of all its health practice groups and before that as Director of Research Operations from 2001 to 2008. Previous roles focused on public policy surveys with difficult-to-reach populations, on sensitive topics and hard-to-measure issues, for both government and commercial clients. He has also published papers on the gap between technology and research methodology.

Before joining the company in 1996, he worked as Assistant Research Manager at Voter News Service.

President and CEO Scott Royal, himself promoted earlier this year, comments: 'Andy's breadth of experience has allowed him to cultivate the research expertise, operational knowledge, and business acumen needed to help Abt SRBI advance to the next level and achieve our mission and business goals.'
