Management Changes and Investment for Sample Answers

December 2 2013

UK-based sampling agency SampleAnswers is looking to expand after an injection of cash from private investment partnership EXIMS. Meanwhile MD Neil Whelpton is leaving, and Abdi Mohamed has joined as group Technical Operations Manager.

Management Changes and Investment for Sample AnswersWhelpton will leave the company early in the New Year. He took the role of Business Development Director when Sample Answers merged with his consumer and B2B list broking consultancy Neil Whelpton Associates (NWA) in 2011, then moved to the MD role just a year ago on the departure of Mark Dent to lead a new office in Colombia, South America.

Mohamed worked in an analyst role at clothing retailer Cromwell Madhouse before becoming Head of Digital Operations & Analytics at SKOPOS in 2005. He joined Kinesis Survey Technologies in February 2012 as an Account Manager.

Sample Answers Chairman Tony Dent told DRNO the investment in Sample Answers' parent company CMRGroup.com Ltd would lead to 'investment in new products and services over the coming months' and said the appointment of Mohamed would strengthen the firm's online sample operations accordingly. Dent says further announcements will follow.

EXIMS was formed by a group of market researchers and publishers whose funds came from the sale of IMS International (Intercontinental Medical Services) to Dun and Bradstreet in 1988. The partnership has previously invested in MediMedia International, Saatchi and Saatchi, adidas and Survey Sampling International. EXIMS' Jeff Altman joins the CMR group board with executive responsibility as Finance Director.
