UK-based Marketing Sciences has hired Andy Grout, former European Head of Quantitative Research at The Leading Edge, as a board member; and has also promoted Laura Ablett to its board. The company also reports strong first-half results.
Marketing Sciences says the appointments follow strong first half results, with turnover 'up by 50 per cent compared with three years ago.'
Grout brings more than twenty-five years' agency-side quant and qual experience, including spells as Joint Managing Partner at JRA Research and a board Director at MMR Research Worldwide. He will work alongside the existing team to drive growth in FMCG, one of the company's key areas.
Ablett has been with Marketing Sciences since 1997 and has been a major force in developing the agency's product testing and sensory capabilities, including its new state-of-the-art sensory testing lab in Kent.
MD Jane Rudling says Grout 'is someone we have been very keen to work with... experienced, highly motivated, and [with] a track record of developing long-term client relationships.' She continues: 'In Laura we have someone with a great understanding of our business. She has been instrumental in developing our sensory offer and bringing new methods to our clients.'
Part of the Creston Group, the firm offers qual, quant, digital and sensory market research and is online at www.marketing-sciences.com .
