SIM Buys Claritics Big Data Platform

In the US, enterprise technology firm Systems in Motion (SIM) has acquired Claritics, which offers a big data user intelligence platform for mobile, social media and business SaaS applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Neeraj GuptaClaritics' cloud-based user intelligence platform analyzes data from across social media, mobile and web channels in real-time, with services including user segmentation, funnel analysis, cohort analysis and an A/B testing framework.

SIM says the Claritics platform and analytics solutions will accelerate its own data services business, and enable the company to provide real-time analytics and advanced big data solutions to enterprise customers. As part of the acquisition, Jay Bala, Claritics' CTO and co-founder, will be joining SIM to head the company's Big Data Lab.
