AMD Opens Singapore Office

December 20 2013

Hong Kong and Shanghai-based Asia Market Development (AMD) is launching operations in Singapore, through a joint venture with sister agency CNCData which is based in the country.

Timothy Ang and Diana SoonAMD was launched in August by former Nielsen colleagues Jeff Stewart and Christophe Cazes, who received an undisclosed amount of investment funding from global market research company Primetrica and Huntington Capital, through their joint venture market and business intelligence database services firm CNCData. The new Singapore office has been launched to support the group's activities across the IT sector, which is CNCData's primary focus.

Timothy Ang and Diana Soon will jointly lead the new Singapore office. Most recently, Ang served as Regional Account Manager (IT Sector) for GfK in Singapore, having previously held senior roles at Grass Roots, Dentsu, OgilvyOne, and Saatchi Lab. Soon joins from energy and metals information provider Platts, where she was a Senior Market Research Analyst, prior to which she was a Market Intelligence Consultant at Fuji Xerox, and Research Manager at AMI Partners.

Stewart comments: 'We're pleased we were able to launch our operations in Southeast Asia primarily to support our sister company CNCData's client base and the growing need for strategic insights. We're especially fortunate to have brought Tim and Diana aboard during this critical phase of AMD's growth. Both have a unique combination of talents and strengths that complement one another; and we're certain we've launched our Singapore office with the right team in place.'
