Symphony EYC Launches Category Planning Platform

Big data customer insights provider Symphony EYC has introduced a new category planning platform called 'Insights 2 Execution', allowing retailers and CPG manufacturers to make assortment decisions based on customer behavior and segmentation, aligned with physical store constraints.

Ellen DixonSymphony EYC was formed in 2012 through the merger of Aldata and EYC - previously sister firms within the Symphony Technology Group. The firm uses customer insights to help retailers optimize multi-channel customer engagement strategies, assortment, merchandising, marketing, inventory fulfilment and store operations.

The new platform has been developed to help users adopt best practices in category management, and the platform's first tool - iAssort - integrates assortment and space, to help planners utilize customer metrics and preferences to drive localized assortments on the shelf.
